This policy explains how Svanfríður Hagvaag (“Frida”, “I”) handles personal data connected with fridahag.com.

2. Information handled by this site
- Email enquiries: if you email me, I receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include.
- Language preference: the site can remember English or Icelandic in your browser’s local storage. This preference is not sent to me.
- Technical logs: the web server may temporarily record standard information such as IP address, requested page, time, browser type and error details for security and reliable operation.
- Analytics: no visitor analytics or advertising tracker is currently installed on fridahag.com.
3. Why information is used
Email information is used to answer your enquiry, discuss a requested purchase, licence or collaboration, and keep necessary business records. Technical logs are used for security, troubleshooting and operation of the site.
4. Legal basis and retention
Processing is based on steps you ask me to take, a legitimate interest in answering messages and keeping the site secure, legal obligations, or consent where required. Enquiries are kept only as long as reasonably necessary, unless an ongoing agreement or legal record-keeping duty requires longer retention.
5. Gumroad and external sites
Purchases and downloads are handled on Gumroad, which processes payment and customer information under its own privacy terms. Other links may take you to independent websites or apps. Their privacy practices are controlled by their operators, not by fridahag.com.
6. Email provider and disclosure
Email is handled through Proton Mail. Personal information is not sold. It is shared only where needed to provide a service, comply with law, protect the site or respond to your request.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Contact hei@fridahag.com to make a request.
8. Cookies and changes
The site does not currently use tracking cookies. The local language preference is stored only in your browser and can be removed through your browser settings. This policy may be updated; the date above shows the latest revision.
